Lean Frontiers to Produce Annual “Lean Product and
Process Development Exchange”
Fishers, IN – November 28, 2012 – Lean Frontiers announced today
that management of the Lean Product and Process Development
Exchange (LPPDE) will be added to the company’s portfolio of
lean events. In 2012 LPPDE enters its 5th year of operation in
North America and its 3rd year of operation in Europe. LPPDE-North
America takes place May 1-3, 2012 in Indianapolis, IN. LPPDE-Europe
will be September, location to be announced.
Lean
Frontiers’ President, Jim Huntzinger, stated, “Every function
in an organization has a unique and crucial role in supporting
the lean enterprise. We’re delighted to add the concept of
product and process development to our wide range of focused
summit offerings because of the significant impact this provides
to an organization. Daily improvements in operations is most
often associated with lean, but gains made in operations, while
necessary, pale in comparison to cost savings and improvements
realized in lean-centric product and process design.”
The
Lean Product and Process Development Exchange, Inc. is a 501(c)3
nonprofit organization created to foster opportunities to grow
and share the knowledge, expertise and experiences that help
organizations use lean product development to dramatically
improve product development performance.
Huntzinger added, “Thanks to Katherine Radeka's leadership,
LPPDE has done an outstanding job building the lean product and
process development community. We look forward to expanding
LPPDE's legacy of quality knowledge-exchange and networking
events that help participants accelerate their progress with
lean product development." LPPDE board members include Durward
K. Sobek II, Ph.D., Professor at Montana State University,
Katherine Radeka, President, Whittier Consulting Group, Inc.,
Michael N. Kennedy, President, Targeted Convergence Corporation,
Jim Huntzinger, Founder Lean Frontiers, and Rich Gildersleeve,
Chief Technology Officer, DJO, Inc.
Since 2005 Lean Frontiers has provided narrowly focused events
aimed at helping organizational silos understand how they can
best support lean thinking. The company produces the Lean
Accounting Summit, Lean HR Summit, Lean Logistics Summit, TWI
Summit, Asia Pacific Lean Business and Accounting Summit, and
will soon offer a Lean IT Summit and Lean Sales & Marketing
Summit.
