Description

This workshop will show participants how the pieces and chunks of an operating system fit together to create a powerful, people-oriented organization.  We’ll explore lean from a systems perspective focusing first on the need for change, then applying lean concepts, tools, techniques, and practices to achieve an efficient, capable, adaptable supply chain to satisfy customers and employees, and builds an energetic continuous improvement culture.

The workshop is built around an extremely complex system-level simulation that participants will find both challenging and revealing.  On day one, we’ll cover the basics of initiating and sustaining a change initiative in an organization, focusing on creating real flow for operations and supporting systems and discovering the impact these changes have on people.   On day two, we focus on action.  We’ll show you what leaders need to DO to make an improvement initiative work.  We’ll end with a discussion about how adopting a future-focused philosophy sets the right standards of behavior for everyone in the organization, and how to build a physical structure to enforce these new standards and make change stick.
